My name is Fleur Deknudt,
I am passionate to share my 30 years international textile experience in supporting
European companies on their future-proof
sourcing & procurement challenges. The focus is to create
value, time and profit in the best possible sustainable way towards a greener Fashion
world.
I have been enjoying a beautiful career as an international import manager in
bathroom and home textiles.
It came with the pleasure of a worldwide network combined with lots of opportunities and
connections. Last years were challenging and unexpected,
the market forced us to change company strategies, we got worldwide supply chain issues
and raw materials disruptions. But times of crisis
Also make us also very aware on the urgency and opportunities of changes. Covid forced us
to intensive digitalization.
The actual climate, gas and energy problems show us the way to care about our natural
resources and eco-systems.
We all know that something needs to change.
The good thing is that each of us can make a difference. It only takes a small step to
start, till the next one… but it is of crucial importance to humanity.
That is what made me take the step to combine my passion for fashion with my engagement
towards Sustainability.
The time is right, and it is all about the right mindset.
Therefore, I am convinced that it is my call to support European companies on near- and
off-shore Sourcing,
in combination with Optimizing procurements and Mapping, all step by step in the best
possible sustainable way.
The main idea about AweSom by Fleur is to support in the transition towards future-proof
way of responsible Textiles & Fashion.
We need to make a plan with company teams to move forward, by screening running processes,
understanding new certification and laws ,
innovations in R&D, waste-reductions in production flows. For a greener world which is
constantly in evolution , inviting us on recycling and circularity.
